David E. Swieskowski, MD, MBA, is the senior vice president and chief accountable care officer at Mercy Health Network ACO, Iowa. He has led Mercy Health Network ACO’s quality initiatives in areas such as diabetes and hypertension that are now recognized as best-practice nationally. In addition to his clinical expertise in the areas of quality and safety, Dr. Swieskowski has applied process improvement strategies to reduce operating costs.
